“Silk Road Radiance”: Cui Hong Budapest Art Exhibition Opens at OuQiao Technology Industrial Park
Autumn in Budapest has been graced with the charm of Eastern ink. On the afternoon of October 12, 2026, the Guoyun Wenhua Calligraphy and Painting Academy’s 30th delegation to Europe arrived in Budapest for a China-Europe artistic dialogue and cultural exchange. As a highlight of the tour, “Silk Road Radiance: Cui Hong Budapest Art Exhibition” officially opened at the OuQiao Technology Industrial Park in Budapest. The exhibition is co-hosted by the OuQiao Technology Industrial Park in Hungary and the Guoyun Wenhua Calligraphy and Painting Academy.

Using calligraphy and painting as the medium, the exhibition crosses mountains and seas to bring traditional Chinese brush art to the banks of the Danube, presenting the spirit of Eastern ink and the aesthetics of Chinese art. The featured artist, Cui Hong, is Vice President of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Branch of the Li Keran Painting Academy, a member of the China Artists Association and a council member of the China Women Painters Association. She has devoted many years to traditional Chinese painting; her works have repeatedly been selected for and won awards at national exhibitions, and many have been collected by major institutions.
The opening ceremony drew a distinguished crowd: calligraphers and painters from the China-Europe art delegation, local Budapest entrepreneurs, overseas Chinese representatives and art lovers from China and abroad gathered in the exhibition hall to view the works and exchange ideas.
Li Geng, President of the Li Keran Painting Academy, gave a speech reviewing Cui Hong’s past exhibitions, praising her diligence and steady stream of fine works, and expressing hope that China-Europe art exchanges would continue to flourish.
Zhan Jingbo, General Manager of OuQiao Industrial, said that culture and art hold irreplaceable value in China-Hungary exchanges. He welcomed more Chinese artists to hold exhibitions and exchanges in Hungary and to continue bringing Chinese culture to the world.
At the event, Li Geng wrote the calligraphy piece “Rivers and Mountains Made New” (河山新造) for Zhan Jingbo, wishing him ever-fresh prospects in his overseas career.
In her remarks, Cui Hong said that Chinese painting is an ancient Chinese art form and that she feels a responsibility to bring this cultural tradition to every part of the world, in the spirit that “what is national is also global.” She thanked everyone present for their support.
After the opening ceremony, a calligraphy and painting session was held on site, where the artists wielded their brushes and interacted face to face with the entrepreneurs present, making friends through ink.
“Silk Road Radiance: Cui Hong Budapest Art Exhibition” has further deepened people-to-people cultural and artistic exchange between China and Europe, helped Chinese culture reach beyond China’s borders, and used the power of art to build a bridge of friendship for mutual learning between Chinese and European civilizations and closer people-to-people bonds.
Going forward, the OuQiao Technology Industrial Park in Hungary will continue to leverage its platform strengths to help bring more cultural exchange events between China and other countries to Budapest.
