The second Saturday of September - Icarus Memorial Day arrives as scheduled
On the second Saturday of September, the annual IKARUS Memorial Day event arrived as scheduled at the Cultural Exchange Center of the Hungarian European Overseas Technology Industrial Park. This year marks the 18th edition.
Kovács Péter, the district mayor of Budapest's 16th district, Adamis Gábor, the former vice president of Icarus Automobile Manufacturing Plant, Szabo Zsoka, the president of Icarus Association, Zhan Xiaorong, the chairman of Ouqiao Industrial Group, and Zhan Jingbo, the general manager, attended the opening ceremony of the event.

General Manager Zhan Jingbo delivered a speech at the event, expressing great gratitude to Mr. District Mayor, Icarus Club, and everyone for participating in this event. Since its operation, our park has fully respected the history of the park, embraced local culture, and actively integrated into it. In order to commemorate Icarus' past glory and meet the nostalgia of old workers, this year marks the fifth consecutive year that the "Icarus Day" event has been held at the European Overseas Cultural Center. Ouqiao Industry will strive to continue the spirit of the times of Icarus, tap the potential of Ikarus, build Ouqiao Science and Technology Industrial Park better, and continue to write a new chapter of friendship and economic and trade cooperation between the people of China and Hungary.
At the event, the neatly arranged IKARUS brand buses from various eras attracted a large number of citizens to visit.
The exhibits and pictures of the IKARUS History Museum in the Cultural Exchange Center of the Ouqiao Technology Industrial Park have aroused great interest among young people.
Ouqiao Industrial Group completed the acquisition of IKARUS Industrial Park in July 2019 and named it the Hungarian Ouqiao Technology Industrial Park for operation. Through recent years of construction and renovation, the park's environment and basic facilities have been optimized, and its investment and operation capabilities have significantly improved. At present, there are more than 150 enterprises settled in the park, forming a preliminary ecosystem of production, research and development, logistics, and service industry clusters, providing comprehensive services for settled enterprises, helping them develop, breaking the unfamiliarity and discomfort of domestic enterprises to the region, and reducing the risks and costs of "going global" for enterprises.
