Wang Yi conveyed the cordial greetings of the Chinese leader to Orban. Wang Yi once again congratulated the Prime Minister for leading the ISD to win the parliamentary elections and achieve re-election. Although China and Hungary differ in scale, they have always respected each other, understood and trusted each other, and the relations between the two countries have become a model for international exchanges. China is willing to comprehensively promote friendly exchanges with Hungary, continuously deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and strive to promote democracy in international relations and a multipolar world. This year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jing Ping's proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative, and the two sides should continue to strengthen high-quality cooperation on jointly building the Belt and Road. The Chinese side appreciates Hungary's active support for the development of China-EU relations, and this policy of Hungary is not only in the interests of the Chinese and Hungarian peoples, but also in the fundamental and long-term interests of Europe.
Orban asked Wang Yi to convey his sincere greetings to the Chinese leaders and congratulate the successful holding of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Congratulations to Chairman Xi Jing Ping on his re-election as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee. Orban said that Hungary unswervingly pursues a friendly policy towards China and attaches great importance to cooperation with China in various fields. Thanks to China's long-term selfless help, China's vaccine has saved many lives. Hungary will continue to make unremitting efforts to promote the development of EU-China relations.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on the Ukraine issue. He believes that the more complicated the situation, the more it is necessary to remain sober and calm, make the correct choice that conforms to the norms of international relations and the long-term interests of Europe, and realize peace in Europe at an early date.

Hungary is the friendliest country in Eastern Europe and an important node country of the "Belt and Road" initiative in Europe. This is the first time that China's top diplomat Wang Yi has visited Europe since taking up his new post. Thespecial visit to Hungary is not only to deepen the friendship between China and Hungary, but also to promote the 16+1 mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries and further release the potential of cooperation.
