Construction of Hefei High-tech Zone in China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone Started
On the morning of September 21, the Chinese government website announced the "China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone Overall Plan". which marked the official approval of the Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone. The scope of implementation of the Pilot Free Trade Zone is 119.86 square kilometers, and the Hefei area is 64.95 square kilometers (including 1.4 square kilometers of Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone Comprehensive Bonded Zone).
On the morning of September 30, Hefei High-tech Zone held the launching ceremony of "The First Batch of Reform and Innovation Measures for the High-tech Zone in Hefei Area of Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone". This marks the official start of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone in Hefei High-tech Zone-the free trade zone service window, the free trade zone new economic application scenarios, the free trade zone talent comprehensive service platform, etc.

It is understood that the high-tech block in Hefei area of Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone covers a total of 31.43 square kilometers, which mainly strengthens the functional layout of "one body and two wings". "One" is the innovation-driven core, and the main layout is west of Innovation Avenue. Covers three areas: the first is the original innovation core area with the Quantum Innovation Research Institute; the second is the Brain-like National Engineering Laboratory; the third is the Hefei Ion Medicine Center and other major platforms (the layout includes some innovation platforms, high-tech enterprises and China Voice New economic industrial clusters such as valleys). The "Two Wings" are industrial clusters, mainly located north of Changjiang West Road and south of Xiyou Road (the north wing is a high-end automobile and parts industry cluster; the south wing is a cluster of smart home appliances and supporting industries).
The relevant person in charge of the high-tech zone introduced that the Hefei High-tech Zone has "four major advantages" after building a free trade experimental zone. The first is the advantage of technological innovation; the second is the advantage of agglomeration of high-end industries; the third is the advantage of talent pool; the fourth is the advantage of financial resources. At present, the high-tech zone is accelerating the study and formulation of a work plan for the construction of a pilot free trade zone. The preliminary consideration is to create three characteristic areas' and focus on achieving six greater breakthroughs.'
